Bug #11053
- How To Install Drivers For A NIC? (AQtion AQC107/XG-C100C ...
- Help Request: WiFi Adapter Drivers | TrueNAS Community
- SR-IOV Functionality Broken - IXsystems Community
A) find the drivers to install myself (HP LTO-5 Ultrium 3000) b) file the bug report I don't want to have to use another product because I like FreeNAS, but running out of time. It is just baffling that such a simple feature which works on almost every other linux / bsd was omitted from FreeNAS. Rather frustrating:/. Apr 29, 2020 iXsystems and Western Digital have been working to identify and resolve the ZFS compatibility issue with the WD Red DM-SMR drives. The testing is not yet complete, but at this stage, we can confirm: Some SMR drives are indeed compatible with ZFS, though due to a lack of a ratified industry standard implementation of the technology, they don’t all necessarily behave the same.

That's a APC UPS with a usb serial ftdi interface.
I think it's just a matter of adding vendor and product id to usbdevs and uftdi.c and recompile.

It's the umodem driver that is not included in nanoBSD kernel. I've recompiled the kernel with this driver and it's now working.

I've opened, also, an issue at NUT, and submitted a patch with a driver correction: https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/231
Just posting here in case someone else has the same problem and is looking after information. There's some discussion about it here too: https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/nobreak-bz1200-br-back-ups-rs-1200va-600w-bivolt-115-nt.20247/
